Gordon Ramsay Burger Opens in Boston on July 5

A bit more than a year ago, it was reported that a celebrity chef would be bringing another one of his concepts to Boston, and now we have learned that it is just about ready to open.

According to a press release, Gordon Ramsay Burger is planning to open on July 5 within the Canopy by Hilton boutique hotel just off the Greenway by Faneuil Hall and Haymarket Square. The new spot will offer such options as burgers, wings, fries, onion rings, milkshakes, and local beers, with the space including a roof deck on the second level.

Ramsay also has another restaurant in the city--Ramsay's Kitchen within the Mandarin Oriental hotel in the Back Bay, which opened early last year.

Gordon Ramsay Burger Is Opening in Boston

A celebrity chef who opened his very first Boston restaurant earlier this year is bringing another one of his concepts to the city.

According to a press release, Gordon Ramsay is planning to open Gordon Ramsay Burger on North Street, moving into the brand new Canopy by Hilton boutique hotel just off the Greenway by Faneuil Hall and Haymarket Square. The upcoming spot will be a full-service restaurant that offers burgers, hot dogs, fries, house-made sauces, and milkshakes, and the 4,000-square-foot space will include a roof deck on the second level.

Ramsay's Kitchen first opened within the Mandarin Oriental hotel in the Back Bay in January, while another concept--Gordon Ramsay Street Pizza--had been proposed for Fort Point, though those plans have fallen through, at least for the time being.

Plans for Gordon Ramsay Street Pizza to Open on Congress Street in Boston's Fort Point Neighborhood Have Fallen Through

A couple of months ago, it was reported that a celebrity chef was looking to bring a pizza spot to Boston's Fort Point neighborhood. Now we have learned that these plans have apparently fallen through, at least for the specific location that they were considering.

According to a Twitter thread from @FortPointer, Gordon Ramsay Street Pizza is no longer coming to the Caffe Nero space on Congress Street, stating that "FPNA [Fort Point Neighborhood Association] announced it....the news about the pizza place had just arrived by email (seemingly from official sources representing the company)" while @tom_ready of FPNA says of the licensing board hearing for the restaurant that is slated for tomorrow, "It will not be heard, they have pulled the application." A Tweet from @FPNA_Boston gives additional information on this development, mentioning that "The Attorney for the restaurant informed us and said they will be looking for another location (hopefully in the neighborhood) more suitable to their needs." No details have been given on why they decided not to come to the space after all, nor is it known where they might be looking to open now; we have reached out to Gordon Ramsay Street Pizza in England to find out more and will report back with any additional information.

As mentioned earlier, the proposed Fort Point location of Gordon Ramsay Street Pizza was going to offer "bottomless" pizza in which customers could choose from a variety of options and eat as little or as much as they want, while another concept from the celebrity chef--Ramsay's Kitchen in the former Bar Boulud space within the Mandarin Oriental hotel in the Back Bay--debuted earlier this week.

Gordon Ramsay Street Pizza Plans to Open in Boston's Fort Point Neighborhood

Several months ago, it was learned that a celebrity chef was going to be bringing a new restaurant concept to Boston, and now we have learned that he may be bringing an existing concept to the city as well.

According to a tweet from @FortPointer, Gordon Ramsay Street Pizza is looking to open in the Fort Point section of Boston, and it would apparently be moving into the space on Congress Street that had been home to a location of Caffe Nero. A Fort Point Neighborhood Association notice says that a meeting is slated for November 30 for the proposed dining spot, including its request for a beer and wine license. Based on its locations in England, the Boston outlet of Gordon Ramsay Street Pizza could be offering "bottomless" pizza, in which customers can choose from a variety of options and eat as little or as much as they want.

In addition to Gordon Ramsay Street Pizza, Ramsay is also going to be opening Ramsay's Kitchen in the former Bar Boulud space within the Mandarin Oriental hotel in the Back Bay.

Casting Call for "Hell's Kitchen" to Take Place at Savin Bar + Kitchen in Dorchester, May 31, 2012

Earlier this week, we reported that Gordon Ramsay's Kitchen Nightmares would be returning to Boston, with the reality TV series coming to La Galleria 33 in Boston's North End. Now we hear that the celebrity chef will also be having a casting call in at a restaurant in one of Boston's neighborhoods for another one of his shows.

Eater Boston is reporting that Hell's Kitchen is casting for new episodes at Savin Bar + Kitchen on Savin Hill Avenue in Dorchester on Thursday, May 31 from 3:00 PM to 7:00 PM. Kitchen Nightmares Is Coming to La Galleria 33 in Boston's North End

Earlier this year, we reported that a reality TV series that stars a celebrity chef was getting ready to cast for the next season, and the show had been looking to return to Boston once again. Now we have word that the show will indeed be back in Beantown, returning to the neighborhood it was in a little awhile back.

NorthEndWaterfront.com is reporting that Gordon Ramsay's Kitchen Nightmares will be looking to help La Galleria 33 in Boston's North End, with filming for the upcoming episode beginning this week. The Fox show had been in the North End in late 2010 (with the episode being shown in early 2011) at Davide on Commercial Street, with Ramsay revisiting the eatery in the summer of 2011--and he was apparently happy with how the restaurant was looking, according to NorthEndWaterfront.com.

[October 11 update: Eater Boston mentions that La Galleria 33 will be featured on Kitchen Nightmares on Friday, October 26 at 8:00 PM, with Part 2 of the show airing on Friday, November 2 at 8:00 PM.]
