Atlas Kebab and Grill Is Opening in Dedham

A brand new Mediterranean restaurant appears to be on its way to Dedham, though very little is known about the place at this time.

According to a poster within the Friends of Boston's Hidden Restaurants Facebook group page, Atlas Kebab and Grill is planning to open on Bridge Street, with the picture shown indicating that it would move into a space on the Boston line within a small shopping center across from Moseley's and near the Needham Street intersection (this has been confirmed by Adam Gaffin of Universal Hub, who sent us a message today). Other than a select board notice that says "Common Victualer Application – Omyasouk, 37 Bridge Street," there appears to be no other information on this place, so stay tuned for updates.

Update: Two Alarm Fire Destroys The Tradesman in Milford

A popular music club southwest of Boston has been hit by a fire.

According to a message sent to us on Facebook, The Tradesman in Milford caught fire today, with the West Street spot appearing to sustain major damage in the blaze. Sources tell us that the building turned out to be a total loss and has been razed, and while there is chatter that it may be rebuilt, it doesn't appear that anything has been decided for sure as of yet.

The Tradesman has been a place to go for local music while also offering food such as burgers, clam chowder, wings, hot dogs, and subs along with beer, wine, and spirits.

The address for The Tradesman is 284 West Street (Route 140), Milford, MA, 01757. Its Facebook page can be found at https://www.facebook.com/tradesmanbar/

Turkish Lazuri Cafe Is Opening in Former Whole Heart Provisions Space in Allston

Last fall, it was reported that the future of the original location of a trio of vegan/vegetarian restaurants was in doubt. Now we have learned that a brand new restaurant is moving into the space.

According to a source, Turkish Lazuri Cafe is opening in Allston, taking over the former Whole Heart Provisions space on Cambridge Street. A check on the menu for the new dining spot shows such items as pancakes, French toast, omelets, menemen (a Turkish egg dish), gozleme (a Turkish flatbread), falafel, stuffed grape leaves, hummus, spinach pie, lentil soup, kebabs, kofte wraps, lahmacun (Turkish pizza), baklava, and more.

Whole Heart Provisions debuted in Allston in the fall of 2015, with James DiSabatino (Roxy's Grilled Cheese, A4cade) and Rebecca Arnold (Sarma, Alden & Harlow, Pain D'Avignon, 606 Congress) being behind the place. It appears that the other Whole Heart outlets in Cambridge's Harvard Square and Central Square are in hibernation, based on their web pages.

The address for Turkish Lazuri Cafe is 487 Cambridge Street, Allston, MA, 02134. The website for the restaurant can be found at https://lazuricafe.com/

[May 21 update: According to its website, Turkish Lazuri Cafe is now open.]
