A speakeasy-type place is coming to the Back Bay of Boston, and it will be featuring dining, drinking, music, and dancing.
According to Grub Street Boston and The Boston Globe, a new spot called Storyville is planning to open in the former Saint space on Exeter Street. Both articles mention that the name comes from a landmark club that once occupied the same spot and featured such famous musicians as Billie Holiday, Ella Fitzgerald, Cab Calloway, Duke Ellington, Charlie Parker, and others. The new rendition of Storyville will focus on the foods of both New Orleans and Boston along with an array of cocktails (including tiki and New Orleans-style drinks), as well as occasional live entertainment and a DJ booth. Louis DiBiccari, who is behind Chef Louie Night, will be the chef at Storyville, while William "English Bill" Codman of Woodward in downtown Boston will be in charge of the beverages.
Grub Street says that Storyville may be opening later this month.

Bricco in Boston's North End Is Opening Bricco Panetteria

A restaurant in the North End of Boston that features regional Italian cuisine is opening a bakery, though it apparently won't be a retail spot, at least for now.
According to a post on the Craigslist site, Bricco on Hanover Street is opening a new bakery behind the restaurant and is currently looking for bread bakers to staff the place. An email from 451 Marketing indicates that the bakery, which is called Bricco Panetteria and is located behind Bricco, is not open to the public. Instead, it will be supplying bread to Bricco as well as other places owned by the group that runs the restaurant and bakery (Mare, il Panino Express, Trattoria il Panino, DePasquale Pasta Shoppe, Umbria, and Splash).
Bricco first opened its doors about eight years ago, serving items such as beef carpaccio, stuffed zucchini flowers, shrimp scampi, ricotta pillows, pumpkin tortellini, skate, lamb shank, and brick-oven pizza.

Zo Is Opening a New Location in Boston's Financial District
It looks like a Greek takeout restaurant in Boston's Center Plaza is getting ready to open a second location of its eatery, with this one being in the nearby Financial District.
According to their Facebook page, Zo is planning to open on State Street, a few blocks east of its original location. Based on an earlier post on their page, the new spot may be opening in September, though whether it will be a takeout-only place like the Center Plaza location is not known at this time.

Mangia Neapolitan Pizza Plans to Open Locations in South Boston, Quincy
A small local chain of pizzerias continues to expand, with one location opening within the Boston city limits and another opening a few miles south of the city.
According to The Patriot Ledger, Mangia Neapolitan Pizza is planning to open outlets in South Boston and Quincy, joining existing locations in the South End, Brookline, Canton, and a newly-opened one in Cohasset. (The article also mentions that Hopkinton, Norton, and Sharon will soon see locations of Mangia as well.) The exact location of the upcoming Mangia in South Boston is not yet known, but the Ledger states that the Quincy location will be in the food court of the Quincy Center MBTA station.

FutureBar Music Lounge Is Coming to Quincy
A new music club is on the way to Quincy, and it looks like the place may be focusing on punk rock.
According to an article in the Boston Phoenix, FutureBar Music Lounge is planning to open within the existing nightspot Club 58, which is located on Ross Way (between Hancock Street and the parking garage in Quincy Center). The article states that FutureBar Music Lounge will be a place to watch punk and hardcore bands, while the club's Facebook page mentions that they will also be featuring bands that play hard rock, metal, reggae, ska, and more. It appears that the club will have its grand opening during the weekend of September 17 and 18, according to both the Phoenix and the club's website.
It is not known whether food will be offered at FutureBar Music Lounge, but based on the existing Club 58, it is possible that the new spot may only be serving drinks.

Paul, Mark, and Donnie Wahlberg May Make Reality Series about Wahlburgers in Hingham
As we reported awhile back. Paul Wahlberg--along with his celebrity brothers Mark and Donnie--is getting ready to open a burger restaurant in Hingham called Wahlburgers, and now it appears that the brothers may actually be looking at making a reality show based on the opening of the eatery.
According to E! Online, Mark Wahlberg mentioned yesterday that he and his brothers are looking into creating a reality series following the opening of Wahlburgers, though Mark isn't sure he will actually be on the show, other than people hearing him speak. In the article, Mark muses that "Maybe I'll be the Charlie's Angels of reality TV" and "You'll hear my voice. But obviously it's something that we'd want to control in every aspect and produce and make sure that we were doing something really quality."
Wahlburgers, which will be opening in the Hingham Shipyard (where Paul Wahlberg's other restaurant Alma Nove resides) looks to feature hot dogs, fries and frappes in its nearly 3,000-square-foot space that will include a full bar and outdoor dining. Another dining spot from Paul and his brothers is also on the way to the Shipyard--a pizzeria called Pizzeria Diciannove.
