Ka' Carlos May Reopen in Uphams Corner, Dorchester

A Cape Verdean restaurant in Dorchester that closed down this spring might be reopening once again, though it may be only open for brunch until the restaurant can prove that the troubles that plagued it are a thing of the past.

According to The Dorchester Reporter, Ka' Carlos on Hancock Street in the Uphams Corner section of the neighborhood has been allowed to open once again after a vote of approval by area civic associations. A concession for now, however, is that the eatery will close at 5:00 PM for the time being, and there will be no alcohol served and no entertainment.

In August of 2009, Ka' Carlos made regional newspaper headlines for being the site of a double homicide.

If it indeed opens once again, the address for this Cape Verdean restaurant in Uphams Corner will be: Ka' Carlos, 33 Hancock Street, Boston (Dorchester), MA, 02125.

For more information on the possible reopening of Ka' Carlos, please go to the Dorchester Reporter link below.
